Daniel Lockley, a character from the novel, what elephants know

Daniel Lockley is a quiet man who loves his family beyond all else. He lost both his parents to tragic accidents at a very young age and grew up in an often harsh foster care system. Those long years without a real family did much to shape the man Daniel was to become: loving, devoted, fiercely loyal, and willing to fight to protect the people he loves at all costs.
